2. Data Type and Source

We try to obtain the minimum personal information to keep individuals informed and comply with data protection consent policy which includes where we got the information, your name, company if applicable and email address.

3. Lawful basis for processing personal data

540 WORLD legitimately process data on the grounds of societal benefits through knowledge-sharing of public interest events and information surrounding sustainability, safe and circular regenerative design with a Cradle to Cradle focus and we only have an opt-in policy with no third party sharing of our data.

4. How we process and protect personal data

540 WORLD have an exclusively opt-in policy with no third party sharing of your data. We protect you data by using privacy dashboards or other preference-management tools as a matter of good practice with opt-out options available during our regular communications as well as through this Statement’s contact points which we act on as soon as is practicable.

5. How long we keep personal data

540 WORLD attempt to check data retention through refreshing consent at least annually in respect of an individual’s ongoing personal interest and we allow you to withdraw consent at any time without any penalty to withdraw consent and we publicise how to do so.

6. Individual’s data subject rights

The GDPR gives individual’s 8 data subject rights as follows

  • Right to be informed: organisations must tell individuals the info as set out above
  • Right of access: individuals have the right to request a copy of their information held
  • Right of rectification: individuals can correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Right to be forgotten: in certain circumstances, individuals can ask organisations to erase any personal data that is stored on them.
  • Right of portability: individuals can request that an organisation transfers any data that it holds on them to another company.
  • Right to restrict processing: individuals can request that an organisation limits the way it uses personal data.
  • Right to object: individuals have the right to challenge certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
  • Rights related to automated decision making, including profiling: individuals can ask organisations to provide a copy of its automated profiling – 540 WORLD do not use any automated profiling or decision making in our processing.
